No one knows when Jewball began or who began it. We trace it back to a game in Flushing Meadows Park that was taking place as early as 1993 when the commissioner was Alan Milchman; a man we have never met. It may have started one year earlier. It may have started 30 years earlier. We don’t know. What we do know is that we are the progeny of that game. We carry its torch. Just like one day others will carry the torch and may not know our names or how we kept the flame alive for a few decades. They will have their own stories. But they will also have ours.
